Player profile groundwork, statistical accuracy, and backend calculation validation close out 2025.
As we close out 2025, this week's development efforts focused on improving statistical accuracy, laying the groundwork for major player-profile enhancements, and validating backend calculation changes that will support future platform growth.
Some of this work is highly visible, while much of it strengthens the data integrity coaches, athletes, and administrators rely on every day.

Building the Future of Player Profiles
The Player Profile Revamp is designed to turn player pages into a comprehensive athlete development and recruiting hub. Career statistics and game logs will grow to include film, advanced analytics, situational production, and other performance indicators.
The long-term goal is a profile experience that gives athletes, coaches, recruiters, and fans meaningful insight while making better use of the unique data already collected across iQSports.
Enhanced player overview pages
Expanded career and situational statistics
Down-and-distance and position-specific production
Recruiting and player-promotion opportunities
Future attendance, academic, and NIL-related data

Penalties No Longer Affect Player Statistics Incorrectly
A reported issue showed that certain negated plays were still being included in individual rushing totals. In one example, a penalty incorrectly reduced a player's production even though the play should not have counted.
The correction ensures penalties are processed appropriately, improving season totals, career records, leaderboards, exported reports, and recruiting data.
More accurate individual player statistics
Improved season and career tracking
More reliable leaderboards and reports
Greater confidence in exported data

Backend Calculation Improvements
Testing continued around a broader calculation-controller refactor. Individual issues discovered during validation are now being separated into focused tickets so they can be isolated, resolved, and reviewed with clearer visibility.
Although most users will never see this work directly, it reduces deployment risk and helps calculation logic remain consistent across statistics, reports, scouting outputs, and player trends.
Isolate issues more effectively
Reduce deployment risk
Improve long-term maintainability
Keep calculations consistent across the platform

A Continued Focus on Data Integrity
Enhanced player analytics, calculation improvements, and more accurate statistical reporting all support the same objective: give schools data they can confidently use for coaching decisions, athlete development, recruiting, and historical record keeping.
Reliable data is the foundation for self-scouting, opponent scouting, game breakdown, tendency reporting, and every analytical feature powered by live play tracking.
