iQSports Weekly Development Update

Deeper charts, standardized personnel data, and a connected vision for self and opponent scouting.

This week focused on one of the platform's most important long-term objectives: transforming football data into meaningful coaching intelligence. The initiatives below move iQSports closer to a comprehensive scouting and analytics platform.

Enhanced Passing and Rushing Analytics

A significant upgrade to Passing and Rushing Charts is being designed to add more information within each field zone. Instead of treating directional data as a simple summary, coaches will be able to understand who produced, which calls worked, and how efficiently each area performed.

The deeper views will support stronger tendency reports and more informed decisions during the season and offseason.

  • Player production by field area
  • Play-call frequency
  • Completion percentage and rushing efficiency
  • Explosive play rates
  • Situational tendencies
  • Directional success metrics

Personnel Grouping Analysis

Work began on a standardized Personnel Grouping system that reduces inconsistent entries and creates a stronger reporting structure.

Future reports will help staffs understand which personnel combinations consistently generate production, efficiency, scoring opportunities, and situational success.

  • Formation usage by personnel grouping
  • Play-call tendencies
  • Passing and rushing production
  • Yards per play
  • Scoring efficiency
  • Turnover rates

Opponent Data Infrastructure

Foundational opponent-specific data structures are being developed so staffs can capture opponent tendencies with the same level of detail available for their own team.

Structured, searchable opponent data will improve preparation efficiency and create the basis for detailed reports and tendency breakdowns.

  • Personnel groupings
  • Formations and motions
  • Play calls
  • Defensive fronts
  • Blitz tendencies
  • Coverage structures

ScoutingVision defined

Self Scout and Opponent Scout

The planned Self Scout system will analyze a team's own formation usage, personnel tendencies, calls, situational behavior, and production. Opponent Scout will apply the same framework to chart and analyze future competition.

Together, these tools are intended to reduce manual spreadsheet work and turn information already collected during the season into detailed football intelligence.

  • Identify favorite formations and personnel
  • Measure play-call frequency and success
  • Study blitz and coverage tendencies
  • Compare situational behavior
  • Analyze offensive and defensive production

Building a Football Intelligence Platform

Personnel tracking, opponent analysis, self scouting, advanced charts, and play-call analytics are connected pieces of a larger system.

The goal is to answer the questions coaches ask every week: where a team is effective, which personnel groups perform best, how predictable tendencies have become, and where the next opportunity exists.

  • What are our tendencies?
  • Where are we most effective?
  • Which personnel groups perform best?
  • How predictable are we?
  • What does our opponent do most often?
